Configuration Steps:
- Start the AOL client software.
-
Select "Settings" in the "Log-on" menu. Click on the
"Connection" tab and then on "Manual."
-
As connection type pick "Modem/ISDN device (direct telephone connection)"
and click "Next." As modem select "ISDN cFos
X.75 64.000" from the list of available modems. Choose the COM port
assigned to cFos from the menu on the right. Set the transfer
rate to 57600 bps. Do not let yourself be confused by this, any connection
will still be made at the full 64000 bps.
- Click on "OK" and "Save" in the previous menu.
- You should be able to connect to AOL via ISDN now.
Note:
In case your ISDN board runs on a phone setup that requires you to dial some
sort of outside access code, select "Settings" in the "Log-on"
menu. Check the location you call from (e.g., home) and click on "Edit."
You can enter whatever prefix you need to dial for an outside call in the next menu.
Click "OK" and then "Save."
