Teknisk baggrund
TCP Auto-Tuning måler RTT for forbindelser i begyndelsen, og hvis der sendes data. For forbindelser med kun modtagne data og ingen data til at sende denne måling kan blive unøjagtige, så den resulterende RWIN forbliver for lille. Du kan let verificere denne opførsel med en hurtig internetforbindelse og høj latenstid, f.eks. En 50Mbit/s-forbindelse fra Europa til Amerika eller en mobil bredbåndsforbindelse.
Resultater af cFosSpeed RWIN-Expansion-Award 2012
Mange brugere får ikke den maksimale hastighed, der er tilgængelig for deres internetforbindelse. I mange tilfælde kan TCP-automatisk indstilling af Windows 7/ Windows Vista ikke bruge den fulde downloadhastighed. I andre tilfælde er downloadprogrammerne ikke skrevet til nutidens højhastighedsforbindelser. cFosSpeeds RWIN-udvidelse fremskynder nu disse downloads ved dynamisk at udvide modtagervinduestørrelsen på TCP-forbindelsen til en værdi, der er egnet til den aktuelle forbindelse. Dette fører til uventede hastighedsforbedringer!
For eksempel kunne vi fordoble downloadhastigheden med Internet Explorer og næsten tredobbelt hastigheden for mobile UMTS-downloads.
For at demonstrere disse dramatiske hastighedsforbedringer udarbejdede vi (med hjælp fra vores brugere) en liste over scenarier, hvor den nye cFosSpeed RWIN Expansion opnår disse enorme hastighedsforbedringer.
